Building Incentive Program (CBIP)
Industrial
Buildings Incentive Program (IBIP)
Natural Resources Canada's Commercial Building Incentive Program
(CBIP) offers a financial incentive for the incorporation of energy
efficiency features in new commercial/institutional building designs.
The objective of this new incentive is to encourage energy-efficient
design practices and to bring about lasting changes in the Canadian
building design and construction industry. A financial incentive of
up to $60,000 will be awarded to building owners
whose designs meet CBIP requirements.
The Industrial Building Incentive Program (IBIP) extends the
precepts of the Commercial Building Incentive Program (CBIP) to the
industrial sector. IBIP encourages energy efficiency in the designs
of industrial buildings by fostering the integration of industrial
building design and process design. To help offset incremental design
costs, IBIP offers an incentive of up to $80,000
to Industrial Innovators that are building new industrial buildings.
