The capital investment of a GeoExchange system is typically, although not always, higher then a traditional HVAC system due to the cost of installing the Ground Heat Exchanger.
Although GeoExchange technology can be successfully implemented in
virtually any building project, achieving an economically sustainable,
long-term solution involves several key design considerations.
The
following document is an excerpt from the GeoExchange Energy Systems
Professional Design Guidelines prepared for GeoExchange BC by
VEL Engineering and Hemmera Energy Inc. It summarizes design guidelines
for GeoExchange installation.
The full document will be available on the GeoExchange
BC website in Spring 2005
